On June 13, 2022, the Chinese tennis player rose to popularity and achieved a career-high singles ranking of No. 46. She is presently China's No. 2 player.

On January 31, 2022, Zheng climbed to position 80 in the world's top 100. The Chinese tennis player qualified for her maiden Grand Slam event after Melbourne Summer Set 1 at the Australian Open a week when she defeated Aliaksandra Sasnovich in the opening round.

The Chinese tennis player made her WTA Tour debut at the Palermo Ladies Open. After upsetting second-seeded Liudmila Samsonova in the opening round, she also achieved her maiden victory.

Zheng Qinwen's Parents With Chinese Origin

Zheng Qinwen,19, was born on October 8, 2002, to her parents in Shiyan, Hubei, China.

According to wtatennis.com, Zheng's parents encouraged her to play multiple sports in her childhood, including table tennis.

Zheng's parents pushed her to participate in tennis to keep her active as a child. Table tennis was where she started, but she soon looked elsewhere.

Pere Riba Madrid coaches the Chinese tennis professionals in Barcelona. She attributes her development over the previous year to her footwork and strategy.

In an interview, she acknowledged that her coach had instilled a strong sense of consistency, solidity, and picking the perfect ball if you want to hit hard.

Wang Xiyu, a left-handed player, won the junior girls' division of the 2018 US Open, while Wang Xinyu, a right-handed player, was the first of the trio to reach the Top 100, peaking at No.99.

In an interview, the WTA player revealed she was unhealthy and fat during her childhood. So, her parents advised her to play sports. Initially, she tried playing badminton, basketball, and tennis.

At Wimbledon, the tennis player made his professional debut and beat Sloane Stephens in the opening round. Later, on June 6, 2022, she rose to a new career-high ranking of No. 54, and a week later, she defeated her countryman Xiyu Wang at the Open de Valencia to win her first WTA 125 title; she climbed into the top 50 at No. 46.
